A 14-year-old boy, identified as Arya Dev from Meppadi, Palavayal, Wayanad, died after drowning in a river at Perungoda Mutharikunnu. Arya Dev had visited his relatives' house when the tragedy occurred. Local residents found him during a search and took him to the hospital, but he was pronounced dead. He was a 10th-grade student at Meppadi Government School. His parents are Anil and Ramya. The body is kept at Vythiri Hospital.
