UK immigration neared one million; Rising net migration concerns government

The immigration to the United States neared one million according to published figures. This has caused serious concerns inside the UK government. The arrival of immigrants has doubled from the earlier records. Study shows that nearly 6,50,000 to 9,97,000 immigrants reached the United States in 2002.
This study was based on the year 2021 - 2022 and has surpassed the previous peak of 5,04,000 immigrants.

UK immigration neared one million according to a recent study.

Current numbers show that this is the new highest record marked ever. Apart from the influx of refugees from Ukraine, the migration of NHS workers is also considered to be a major reason behind this huge surge.

The rise in net migration will bring pressure on Prime Minister Rishi Sunak in the party.Even the top members of the Conservative party have criticized the government for failing to control this huge rise.

''It looks like it will be a worrying set of figures. It's going to be a huge problem for the Conservative Party'' says the former Conservative leader Sir Iain Duncan Smith. He told that the repeated pledge for curbing this issue is not yet delivered. Mr.Smith also criticized that each year the size of Leeds is coming to the UK every year which will boost the economy but also affect British productivity, push down wages and increase the housing crisis.

The complete report of net migration in 2022 will be published in May 2023.If the numbers cross one million, this will be a major backlash for Rishi Sunak government.
