കോട്ടയം: കോട്ടയം പൊന്‍കുന്നത്ത് സ്‌കൂള്‍ ബസും ശബരിമല തീര്‍ത്ഥാടകരുടെ വാഹനവും കൂട്ടിയിടിച്ച് അപകടം. പാലാ -പൊന്‍കുന്നം റോഡിലെ ഒന്നാം മൈലിലാണ് അപകടം നടന്നത്. ശബരിമല തീര്‍ത്ഥാടകരുടെ ബസ് സ്‌കൂള്‍ ബസിന്റെ പിന്നില്‍ ഇടിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു.

കാഞ്ഞിരപ്പള്ളി സെന്റ് മേരീസ് ഗേള്‍സ് ഹൈസ്‌കൂളിലെ ബസാണ് അപകടത്തില്‍പ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നത്. 4 കുട്ടികളും ആയയും മാത്രമാണ് സ്‌കൂള്‍ ബസില്‍ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നത്. അപകടത്തില്‍ കുട്ടികള്‍ക്ക് ആര്‍ക്കും ഗുരുതരമായ പരിക്കുകളില്ല. കര്‍ണാടകയില്‍ നിന്നുള്ള ശബരിമല തീര്‍ത്ഥാടകരുടെ ബസ്സാണ് അപകടത്തില്‍പ്പെട്ടത്. തീര്‍ത്ഥാടകരില്‍ ഒരാള്‍ റോഡിലേക്ക് തെറിച്ചു വീഴുകുയും ചെയ്തു. ഇയാളെ കാഞ്ഞിരപ്പള്ളി ജനറല്‍ ആശുപത്രിയില്‍ പ്രവേശിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുകയാണ്.

A school bus and a vehicle carrying Sabarimala pilgrims collided at Ponkunath in Kottayam, along the Pala–Ponkunnam road near the first mile. The pilgrims’ bus, which had come from Karnataka, crashed into the rear of the school bus belonging to Kanjirappally St. Mary's Girls High School. Only four students and the driver were inside the school bus, and none of them sustained serious injuries. One pilgrim was thrown onto the road due to the impact and has been admitted to Kanjirappally General Hospital. Authorities are assessing the situation further.
