പാലാ: കടുത്തുരിത്തി മുന്‍ എം.എല്‍.എ പിഎം മാത്യു അന്തരിച്ചു. ഒരാഴ്ചയായി കരള്‍ പ്രശ്‌നത്തെ തുടര്‍ന്ന് സ്വകാര്യ ആശുപത്രിയില്‍ പാലായില്‍ ചികിത്സയിലായിരുന്നു.  പുലര്‍ച്ചെ 3.30 നായിരുന്നു മരണം. സംസ്‌കാരം നാളെ ഉച്ചയ്ക്കു നടക്കുന്നതാണ്. കേരള  കോണ്‍ഗ്രസ് എം നേതാവായിരുന്നു അദ്ദേഹം. 1991 മുതല്‍ 96 വരെ കടുത്തുരിത്തി മണ്ഡലത്തെ പ്രതിനിധീകരിച്ചായിരുന്നു എംഎല്‍എ ആയത്. കേരള കോണ്‍ഗ്രസ് ജോസഫ് വിഭാഗത്തിനൊപ്പം യുഡിഎഫുമായി സഹകരിച്ചു പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു.

Former Kaduthuruthy MLA P.M. Mathew passed away at 3:30 a.m. after undergoing treatment for liver-related illness at a private hospital in Pala for the past week. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon. He was a senior leader of Kerala Congress (M) and represented the Kaduthuruthy constituency in the Kerala Legislative Assembly from 1991 to 1996. In recent years, he was associated with the Joseph faction of Kerala Congress and worked in cooperation with the UDF.
