Government to employ women firefighters
Thiruvananthapuram: For the first time in history government has decided to employ women in fire force. Kerala legislature assembly has decided to make 100 fire woman posts over the state, today.
Along with the ground breaking decision government has decided to bring changes in many other departments. Retired vigilance tribunal Mr. P Suresh is to be appointed as Kerala State Child Rights Protection chairman. Also legislature assembly has decided to add 54 posts to Thiruvananthapuram regional institute of ophthalmology.
A new section consisting of new posts- a computer assistant, section officer and three assistants, will be formed to split E- Tax Department. 24 posts will be added to drug testing center which is about to be started at Mulamkunnath kavu, Thrissur.
Government has also decided to provide Salary Revision privileges to State Housing Department employees. Decisions have been taken to make amendments ordinance to raise pension provided by Kerala Lokayuktha from 45000 to 125000 rupees and Sub-Lokayuktha, from 40000 to 112500
