തിരുവനന്തപുരം: മുന്‍ രാഷ്ട്രപതി ഡോ.കെ.ആര്‍.നാരായണന്റെ പ്രതിമ രാജ്ഭവനില്‍ അനാച്ഛാദനം ചെയ്ത് രാഷ്ട്രപതി ദ്രൗപതി മുര്‍മു. രാവിലെ നടന്ന ചടങ്ങില്‍ മുന്‍ രാഷ്ട്രപതി റാംനാഥ് കോവിന്ദ്, ഗവര്‍ണ്ണര്‍ രാജേന്ദ്ര ആര്‍ലേക്കര്‍, കേരള മുന്‍ ഗവര്‍ണറും ഇപ്പോള്‍ ബിഹാര്‍ ഗവര്‍ണറുമായ ആരിഫ് മുഹമ്മദ് ഖാന്‍, തുടങ്ങിയവര്‍ പങ്കെടുത്തു. തുടര്‍ന്ന് പ്രതിമയില്‍ പുഷ്പാര്‍ചന നടത്തി.

ഒമാന്‍ സന്ദര്‍ശനത്തിലായതിനാല്‍ മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി ചടങ്ങില്‍ പങ്കെടുത്തിരുന്നില്ല. പ്രതിപക്ഷനേതാവും ചടങ്ങിലെത്തിയിരുന്നു.

രാജ്ഭവനില്‍ അതിഥി മന്ദിരത്തോടു ചേര്‍ന്നുള്ള സ്ഥലത്താണ് പ്രതിമ സ്ഥാപിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്. ഫൈന്‍ ആര്‍ട്സ് കോളജ് പ്രിന്‍സിപ്പല്‍ പ്രഫ.ഇ.കെ.നാരായണന്‍ കുട്ടിയുടെ മേല്‍നോട്ടത്തില്‍ ഇടുക്കി സ്വദേശി സിജോയാണ് മൂന്നടി ഉയരമുള്ള ശില്‍പം നിര്‍മിച്ചത്.  

In Thiruvananthapuram, President Droupadi Murmu unveiled a statue of former President Dr. K.R. Narayanan at the Kerala Raj Bhavan. The ceremony, held in the morning, was attended by former President Ram Nath Kovind, Governor Arif Mohammed Khan (now Governor of Bihar), and Kerala Governor Rajendra Arlekar, among other dignitaries. After the unveiling, floral tributes were offered to the statue of Dr. Narayanan, who was India’s first Dalit President and a distinguished diplomat and scholar.
